Dolores Huerta is named after the civil right leader Dolores Huerta. 2004/2005 was our first year in operation. We were built to relieve the over-crowding of W.J. Turner, Sam Rosen and Kirkpatrick Elementary. Mrs. Martinez is our first and only principal.
We are excited and proud to say that Dolores Huerta Elementary achieved Recognized status by the Texas Education Agency for the 2007-2008 school year.
