Ismael Avila- Kinder Dual Language Teacher
Hello! My name is Ismael Avila and I have been a teacher in the FWISD since 2003. I graduated from Austin College with a Major in Physics. Ever since I obtained my Teacher Certification, I have been teaching Bilingual education to elementary students. I am a proud parent of one daughter and husband to an amazing wife. My hobbies include spending time with my family, outdoor activities, music, and world cuisine. It is a great honor and privilege to be at South Hills with many other excellent teachers. My sole priority in the classroom and school are the children that I am teaching. One of my goals is to discover the great student within your child and give them lasting memories of the fun they had while learning in my classroom. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to visit my room. My door is always open. |

Hi! I am so excited for the new school year! I'm Terra Ammerman and although I was at South Hills for a few months last year, I am thrilled to start my first full year here. I graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a degree in Elementary Education, specializing in English, Language Arts and Reading, so I am very excited to be teaching 4th grade reading and writing this year! In addition teaching 4th grade, I will also be co-coaching cheerleading this year, so I am also very eager to start that as well! I spend my free time reading, spending time with friends and family, acting, and singing! I am so excited to be with a new group of unique students who I am sure will make my year very exciting! |

As a parent I realize the importance of great teachers who inspire children to be their best. Natalie Divis- 5th Grade
I cannot believe the summer is over and we are upon our first day of school already! My name is Natalie Divis and I am very excited to be teaching here at South Hills Elementary. Although last school year I started late teaching in the Fifth Grade, I was warmly welcomed by you, the South Hills students, teachers, staff and parents. Everyone was wonderful, making me right at home at South Hills and we finished the year out strong! I look forward to another great year with a new class of students! I graduated from Texas A&M University and have worked in HEB ISD and Mansfield ISD, but Fort Worth ISD and South Hills have gone above and beyond in their friendliness and support! I thought that Aggieland was the friendliest campus around, but South Hills, you have outdone yourself! Let's make this year the best one yet! |
