Harlean Berry Beal Elementary is the former Forest Hill Elementary School.
The name was changed in 1996 to honor the retired principal Harlean Berry Beal. 
The new building was completed in November of 2001 on the site of the original building.
The formal dedication of the new building was held in May 2003.

President George W. Bush, while serving as governor of Texas,
visited our school in 1998 to award us with the
distinguished improvement award.

Kay Granger, of the US House of Representatives, visited our school in January 2004
 to award FWISD with a $500,000 check to further the expansion of the
Imagination Station,
a computer reading program.

 
 

 
In November, 2003, Ana McDonald, the Vice-president of the Tarrant County United Way,  attended our penny rally to thank the students for their hard work in raising money for the United Way.  In October 2006, we won the United Way Kids Campaign for the sixth consecutive year. Jeff Zimmerman and Captain, both of the Texas Rangers, also came to thank the students for all of their penny contributions.
