Glencrest Middle School Administration

 

 

Rodney White, Principal

 

 

Principal Rodney White 

Mr. White was born in San Antonio, Texas, and attended Cooper High School.  He attended Abilene Christian University as well as UTA. While at Dunbar Middle School, Mr. White taught science, served as the department chair and as the Lead Content Teacher in science. Upon being promoted to an assistant principal, he served in this capacity at Leonard Middle School for three years. His promotion to principal resulted in his being assigned to Glencrest Middle School, and he will greet the students in August 2010. Mr. White is married, has two children and two dogs. His goal is to give every student an equal opportunity to receive a high quality education and to hold our students to high standards.

    

 

 

Melnoee Wilson, Vice Principal

 

 

Vice Principal Melonee Wilson

     Hello, I am the Assistant Principal at Glencrest Sixth Grade. I am a graduate of Texas Christian University, and a current student at Nova Southeastern University. With my twelve years in the field of education, my vision as an educational leader is one that promotes the success of all students by advocating, nurturing, and sustaining a school culture and instructional program conducive to student learning and staff performance improvement.

 

 

 

 

CounselorLorna Payton

     My name is Lorna Payton, and I am a professionl school counselor. I have been a member of the Glencrest Middle School faculty since 1997. Each year I have the privilege of working with the students at our school to help them achieve academic success. I am committed to providing a comprehensive and developmental guidance program for all students. Strategically planned guidance activities provided opportunities that empower students to develop to the fullest capabilities socially, emotionally, and academically, and to develop into members of our sociey.

 

 

 

 Instructional Specialist - Linda James

     This is my first year as an Instructional Specialist at Glencrest Middle School. My previous experience as the head of the Mathematics Department at Glencrest as provided me with an insight into meeting the needs of our faculty and students as to their ongoing education. To this end, my job includes analyzing test data,  recognizing patterns and trends in the data, interpreting this and helping with the creation of strategies and interventions that can make our school more successful academically.

 

 

 

Nurse - Carol Boggs

     As the school nurse to Glencrest Middle School, I see my primary job as strengthening and assissting the education of the students by helping them to either improve or adapt to their ever-changing health status. As part of this job, I oversee the notification of parents if the shot records are incomplete or missing, early diagnosis of vision or hearing issues, monitoring of students who are on medication, and assisting parents and teacher to better understand the illnesses and spedified care-palns that require school intervention.

 

 

 

 Data Clerk - Judy Tate

     Being the registrar and data clerk of Glencrest Middle School entails me being responsible for keeping track of the students. In addition to the enrollment and withdrawal of students, I maintain daily and six week reporting period attendance lists, contacting parents on a daily basis when a student is absent, generating the official progress reports and report cards, and creating reports for the other administrators concerning grades and/or attendance when called upon. I am also in charge of overseeing the writing of admittance slips after a student returns from being out of school.
