This is Mr. Miller’s seventh year to work at D. McRae Elementary.  Mr. Miller was an Assistant Principal and Instructional Specialist prior to becoming the principal.   Mr. Miller taught for 9 years.  He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts Degree from Texas Wesleyan University. 

I have seventeen years educational experience.  Thirteen of those years were spent teaching first, second, and fifth grade at three elementary schools  with varying populations of students with economic as well as cultural differences.  I am currently in my fourth year as an assistant principal.  All of my educational experience has been with Fort Worth Independent School District.

Before teaching I spent three years as a Speech Pathologist Associate for Harris Methodist Hospital.  I have a Bachelors of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Masters of Education in Leadership.

My name is Penny Clanton and I began working for FWISD as a 3^rd grade bilingual teacher in 1996.  Prior to that I was an Adopt a School volunteer for Daggett Elementary for Pier 1 Imports.  My career with FWISD has ranged from being a 3^rd grade and 1^st grade Bilingual/Modified Bilingual/and ESL teacher to being a Bilingual Specialist for the district in 2005-2006 & 2007-2008.   I am now in my second year as an Assistant Principal for D. McRae Elementary and I am enjoying it tremendously.  It is such a joy working with dedicated professionals who believed as I do in putting children first.
