Award Winning Author Vists Morningside
On Monday, October 19, Morningside was pleased to host award winning author Jim Murphy. Brought to Fort Worth by the Fort Worth Public Library Foundation, Mr. Murphy visited with students from all grades about how he writes his books. He specifically detailed his new book, A Savage Thunder, and An American Plague which is a very popular book with MMS students.
The winner of 2 ALA Newbery Honor Book Awards, 3 National Council of Teachers of English Orbis Awards and many others, Mr. Murphy was questioned by the students for over 30 minutes following his talk.
