Parent Engagement
A Link Between Home and School
WHAT IS PARENT ENGAGEMENT? Parent engagement is building a bridge between home and school for your child. By doing so, you will provide support to your child’s academic and social success at school.
HOW CAN THE PARENT HELP THE SCHOOL? Parents can volunteer throughout the year assisting with grading papers, chaperoning field trips, making copies and during lunch duty and recess. Also, the most important is providing a warm study spot at home for your child. The list goes on and on about ways you can volunteer. Please stop by your local Parent Resource room #14 for more details.
Our school is staffed with a Parent Liaison, Mrs. Bracy, she is located in room#14 The Parent Resource Room. The role of the parent liaison is helping parents get the information, help and support thy need to ensure their child’s has a successful school experience.
Often parent feel uncomfortable about sharing their questions or concerns with the teachers or school administration. Because good communication between home and school is such a vital part of your child’s academic success, The Parent Liaison will listen to your concerns and then work with you to make sure that your situation, question or point of view is expressed and understood. Mrs. Bracy will support you if you need to find way to resolve any issues that may be hindering your child’s success in school. Also, I she is able to find out whom you need to call or where you need to go to get special help or services for a child or your family.
The Parent Liaison wants to be sure you understand what you can do to get involved. Please see several possible ways you can stay informed, share information, and help your child do his or her best.
