Science-Mathematics-Technology Program

 About Us

The Morningside Elementary Science-Mathematics-Technology Program focuses on earth, life and physical science while also emphasizing the study of mathematics and technology with reallife applications. The advanced academic, crosscurricular program is designed to stimulate interest, awareness and understanding of the world in which we live. Differentiation and curriculum compacting afford individual students  opportunities to learn and achieve through hands-on, investigative problem solving tasks and independent study skills.

The students at Morningside Elementary Science-Mathematics-Technology Program have the opportunity to explore enriching academic content in a hands-on environment. Extensive science and mathematics applications are investigated through the on-campus botanical garden and greenhouse.  Community partnerships with a variety of businesses and ecology societies allow students to have realworld interactions within their academic studies.

Students apply for entrance into the Special Interest Program. Please contact Caroline Hill, SIP Coordinator for more information regarding the application process at caroline.hill@fwisd.org or call the Morningside Elementary School campus at 817 814 0600.

This intense language program will be offered at two locations with the District: Burton Hill Elementary School and Morningside Elementary School. These sites also have the space needed for sustainability and growth.

Unique characteristics of the Spanish Immersion Academy:
