Mrs. Pamela Day - pamela.day@fwisd.org Principal, Charles E. Nash
I was born in Calcutta, India. When I was twelve years old, my family and I moved to Hong Kong where I lived until I met the man who would eventually become my husband. In 1971, we were married in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and in the succeeding years, we were stationed in Turkey and the Philippines, courtesy of the U. S. Air Force. We returned to Fort Worth, to civilian life, where we have lived ever since.
My career as an educator began as an assistant in adult basic education in Fort Worth ISD. After nine years, I left to continue my college education full-time at Tarrant County Junior College, graduating with an associate degree in Liberal Arts, transferring thereafter to Texas Wesleyan University and earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Learning and Development.
I started my teaching career as a bilingual/ESL/Gifted and Talented fourth grade teacher at Diamond Hill Elementary School. After five years of teaching, I applied and was selected to attend the Educational Leadership program at the University of Texas of Arlington, where I graduated with a master’s degree and mid-management certification, which allowed me to become a public school administrator.
All in all, I have served as an assistant principal at Manuel Jara Elementary for one year and principal in Fort Worth ISD for eleven years, two years at Sam Rosen Elementary and nine years at Charles Nash. It has been a challenging experience with never a dull moment!
I am still married to my one and only, with one son and a daughter-in-law who have now provided us with the light of lives, a granddaughter! |

Mrs. Callie Thompson - callie.thompson@fwisd.org Assistant Principal Charles E. Nash Elementary Riverside Applied Learning Center
I grew up in the small West Texas town of Paducah. Upon graduating from high school, I went off to the big city of Lubbock, where I received my undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University, “Go Red Raiders!” I began my teaching career in Arlington ISD in 1995 at Nichols Junior High School, where I taught until deciding to work toward a master’s degree. In 2000, I was accepted into the Education Leadership UTA program, in which I earned my master’s while working as an assistant principal. I then came to work for Fort Worth ISD as the assistant principal at Burton Hill Elementary, then Riverside Applied Learning Center, and I have been the A.P. at both RALC and Charles E. Nash Elementary for the past three years. I married Tim Thompson in 1995 and together we have two wonderful sons, Logan and Reiss. |
