Seniors!! Remember to report all scholarship offers to me in the counseling office. Also, make sure that you are picking up the Senior Newsletter each month.
If you have not taken the SAT or ACT yet there is still time to do so. Remember to use our school code, 442-565 so that I receive a copy of your scores. Remember that your college applications will not be complete without a score on one of these important tests.
For public universities in the state of Texas, counselor recommendations are not required. Many private universities, including TCU, do require a counselor recommendation. If you are applying to TCU or another school that requires a recommendation, please bring me a resume. If you have not written a resume, please see me for a student profile questionnaire. Check deadlines for early decision, which are usually around October 15. All students applying to TCU need to meet the December 15 deadline in order to be considered for campus financial aid. Take action now on the recommendations and essay. See Mrs. Bigham, our registrar to request official transcripts for all universities to which you are applying.
Athletes who have not yet registered with the NCAA Clearinghouse still have time. Remember our school code is 442-565.
All seniors planning on attending college in fall of 2008 should apply for a PIN # during the 1st of December and fill out a FAFSA during the last of December or the first of January. I will be addressing this topic with seniors in government and economics classes later this semester.
Please ask questions. The counselors are here to help. |
