Joshua Bowman

 Grant Couch began teaching Art at Southwest in 1990 after teaching at Western Hills for 15 years.  Mr. Couch graduated with a B.F.A from the University of Texas at Austin in 1974.  He went to the Netherlands as a Fulbright Scholar in 1980.  Mr. Couch teaches all levels of art and is a practicing artist.

Jeff DeMaagd, a 2007 graduate of Michigan State University, began his teaching career at South Hills High School.  Mr. DeMaagd has been teaching Marching Band, assists Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble, Beginning Brass (WW6th) and Instrumental Ensemble at Southwest since 2008.

Don Sibley started teaching orchestra at SHS in the Fall of 2009.  He also directs the orchestra program at Wedgwood 6th Grade and Wedgwood Middle School.  His first teaching assignment was at Johnston Middle School for the Performing Arts in Houston, Texas beginning in 2006.  Mr. Sibley completed a  Bachelors in Music Education with a Performance Certificate at The University of Texas at Austin in 2001.  In 2003 he graduated from Western Michigan University with a Masters in Music Performance Degree.  Don Sibley is an active bass player and can be scene gigging with local jazz ensembles in and around Fort Worth on a regular basis.  His SHS Orchestra received a Sweepstakes Trophy at UIL Contest in 2010.

 LindaJo Staton received a BA from Central College in Iowa and her teaching license from Hamline University in Minnesota.  Ms. Staton began teaching Theater in different theater programs in 1995.  She was a substitute teacher from 1999-2001 while getting her teaching license.  Ms. Staton started at SHS in 2001.  She currently teaches Theater 1, Theater 2, Theater 2 Honors, Theater 3, Theater 3 honors, English 1, and English 3.
