 Principal- Hilaria "LaLa" Ruiz

 Hilaria Ruiz has been the principal for Worth Heights Elementary for the last 3 years.  Prior to Worth Heights, she was principal at Manuel Jara Elementary and H. V. Helbing.  Within Fort Worth ISD, she has held the positions of assistant principal, instructional specialist, classroom teacher and elementary school secretary.  She can honestly say that she has thoroughly enjoyed all of her positions with the District.  She completed her master's degree and mid-management certification at Texas Wesleyan University.

“I love my job and look forward to retiring from the District when I am no longer effective and/or when I come to the conclusion that it’s time for me to hang my hat because I have lost my passion to serve students and teachers.”

 

 

 

 Assistant Principal- Denise Delgado-Courchesne

Denise Delgado has been an assistant principal at Worth Heights for the last 2 years.  She started her education career 15 years ago.  She has has also worked as a Bilingual/ESL teacher and a school counselor. 

 

   

 Assistant Principal- Sandra Valdez

This is Sandra Valdez's first year to be an assistant principal for Worth Heights.  She has been in education for 27 years and has taught most grades in the elementary level.  Mrs. Valdez has taught in 5 different school districts.  Since 2000, she has been in the Fort Worth ISD working as part of the Instructional Support Team and as an Instructional Specialist for Sagamore Hill Elementary.

 

   

 Instructional Specialist- Esperanza Aguilar

Esperanza Aguilar has been an educator for thirty-eight years. She taught in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania all grades at the elementary level. This is her fourteenth year in Texas. After she left the classroom she worked as a Reading Coach for four years and this is her second year as Instructional  Specialist. Before she started her carreer as an educator she worked as a Probation Officer for three years in Puerto Rico. 

 

 

 Counselor- Marlene Morin

Marlene Morin has been the school's counselor for the last 5 years.  In total, she has been a couselor for 9 years.  Prior to counseling, she taught for 5 years.  She has a Master's Degree in Guidance & Counseling. 

“In the Worth Heights Counseling Program, we strive to help all students by providing them with a safe and supportive environment.  We seek to foster positive growth in academics and citizenship.”

 

   

 Nurse- Vanessa Mascorro

This is Vanessa Mascorro's first year as school nurse.  She is new to the profession of nursing and has only been a nurse for about 1 ½ years. nurse Mascorro graduated from The University of Arlington-School of Nursing in December of 2007.  Currently, she also works Saturdays and time off in the progressive care unit at North Hills Hospital. 

"I love helping people who are in need of a helping hand.  Working with students has been very rewarding."
